Chess On The Web is undergoing a major upgrade this weekend. I expect the site to be down for a few hours on Saturday morning the 2nd July 2011.

Due to the extent of the changes I will not be starting any tournaments for the next week, and the automatic time-out mechanism on tournament games will be turned off.

Please feel free to contact me via the forums, messages or email admin@chessontheweb.com  if you experience any issues after the upgrade.

I kind of liked going to spy on other players games thru their profile and it looks like it's not ossible anymore so I miss that :(

I did notice I lost that link in the re-write. It will re-appear soon so you can continue spying  :-)

You can click on GAMES near the page top to find active games.  Hope this helps :)

...Stoney X. Redketchuplover, I know it's possible in theory to check games using "GAMES" but it is hard find the game(s) of the player whose style you want to study. Also to check how couple of my friends are playing against each other... they move very slowly so browsing thru all games.. whew.

why doesn't the tournament start? both games are full but nothing happens

The tournaments will start after the weekend. There is still checking going on to ensure no issues since last weekend's upgrade.
