ANDU,

Thank you for your comments. I don't have a date when swiss tournaments will be ready, but it is high on my list of things to do.

Automatic Timeouts?

My opponent: JosephCimino timed out in 2 games against me and I got 2 emails saying that the games between josephCimino and myself had ended in my opponents favour. I looged on and noticed that the games had in fact been won by me but when I looked at my profile I noticed that I have now lost 2 games! Surely we can't both have lost.
Is this a bug in the recently implemented automatic timeout code?
I'm sure it's just a small hiccup in this excellent and quite unique site.
Regards...Andy.

agmac,

You are correct. There does appear to be a bug in the automatic timeout system. As far as I can tell the problem lies with the reporting of the timeout, i.e. the games counts on your profile and the wording of the email. The awarding of the tournament points and the calculation of the ratings appears correct.

While I investigate further I have suspended the automated timeout process and have corrected the win/loss counts in your profiles.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
